Friends Seminary, Bring Ben Frisch Back Now!
My name is John Galt. As a former friends student and as a Jew whose relatives were slaughtered by Nazis, I feel that they need to bring back Ben. He was a favorite and lit up the classroom with his humor. I'm all for equality and being against bigotry, but Friends takes being PC to a whole other level. Their installing "gender neutral" bathrooms (I wouldn't have done that but I respect their choice); Their inviting Gilad Atzmon, a notorious anti-Semite; Their refusing to disinvite him until after Alan Dershowitz published a brilliant article in a newspaper (the W.S.J.) and gave them nationwide "publicity"; Their teaching that biology doesn't exist and that you can decide your gender and that questioning makes you "Trans-phobic"; Their belief that spreading Palestinian propaganda and that denouncing Israel to the faces of the students (one-third of whom are Jewish) is okay... All of these points shows their utter disregard for the students but for their parents' donation money and for their quasi-communistic ideals that are nothing but a liberal's fantasy (I, too, am a liberal). They need to reinstate their highest paid teacher, their Teachers' Union head, simply because one disciplinary action that did not offend anyone ought not decide your employment status or your receipt of a pension. One cannot convince the "victim" of a joke that they MUST be offended. One cannot play the "victim" when they are not attacked. When the whole class laughs and thinks of this as a joke (including the Jews), you cannot tell them to be offended and claim that they were. Like all far-left idealists' mentalities, there is no logic present in Friends's decision. I see every reason to bring back the man who has lit up smiles on young, white and black, men and women, Jew or Gentile, for thirty-four years.
Sincerely,
John Galt (a former Student.)
