Open kitchens like the ones featured in Chipotle restaurants are a wonderful invetion for the fast food place because it makes it feel more homey and also it allows for the customer to see what is going on behind the scenes like how the food is prepared, how it is cooked, how it is handled after it's finished cooking, and how fresh it is. the open kitchen also would drastically, if not fully, get rid of that classic fear of getting spit, a booger, or maybe something even worse on your food. That may sound like a scare tactic but as someone who has had to deal with someone tampering with my food I know that it is a good thing, and a right thing to do.
The Open kitchen is a great way to improve customer relations and also gives people a sense of eating real food. I say that because you see your food being made, you know whos making it, you know if you want them making it or not. It also gives the employees an opportunity to exchange with the customers that otherwise wouldnt.
