Sincere Calling on South Korea Blue House and President Moon Jae-in

Global media, like CNN and USA today, are all focusing on the dog meat consumption issue of South Korea, challenging your so-called dog eating culture.

Throughout the years, you have worked so hard on improving the prosperity and civilization with both classic economic and soft powers, especially with the 2018 Winter Olympics. Nevertheless, to the world's surprise, people in this modern and civilized country still eat dog meat.

Your dog farms are notoriously cruel and filthy. Once born, the dogs are trapped inside their cages until they are sent to the dining tables. They have never had a taste of fresh air. During transport, they endure thirst and hunger, the ones that died on the way are considered lucky, the rest facing the fate of being brutally slaughtered and served as a meal! These are the facts you have intentionally concealed from the international media.

This seriously injures the image of South Korea, especially to nations of dog lovers around the world.

We, World Dog Alliance, strongly prompt the South Korea Blue House and President Moon to legislate banning dog meat. We hope South Korea can nurture a better country for our family members, the dogs, we can see the true colors of your soft power.

We are so glad to see a light of hope shine in South Korea for legislation banning dog meat consumption!
