It’s a trademark of society as to how we treat our children, and even help them heal. Lavaya May said something she should not have, because of sexual abuse that started at 8yrs old! What she said led her then boyfriend to kill the man who had been sexually mollesting her for 8yrs. Yes m, she made a mistake, BUT throwing a girl(16) into prison for 20yrs will never help her heal or fix the mind that a grown man destroyed. In a time where men molesting children, whom are left with life long problems get off or get minimal time. Lavaya deserves a second chance, if she had enough money she would not of gotten 20yrs. She would of got some time MAYBE and at worst a long probation period to seek mental health help and try to become a citizen of our community. But instead, her life was thrown away. Anybody can google what happen to her, she in prison in Florida and deserves to go home and try and rebuild.
