Ask Canadian Astronaut Chris Hadfield to not participate in the CRUEL Calgary Stampede

Please Ask Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield to NOT participate in the Calgary Stampede where animals are exploited and often KILLED for entertainment. Why would such a seemingly kind and intelligent man who is a role model for children, teens and adults want to help promote such a spectacle of animal cruelty?

May 9/2013 - Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield accepted an invitation to become the parade marshal of the Calgary Stampede.

In 2012, 3 horses died in the chuckwagon race

The Calgary Stampede also sends horses to slaughter if they can't perform for the Rodeo. And more than 70 animals have died since it started.
