Demand Justice For Laura S., Murdered After ICE Officials Ignored Her Pleas For Protection

In June, 2009, Laura S., an undocumented domestic abuse survivor and mother of three, was stopped for a driving infraction in Texas; she pleaded with immigration officials to let her stay in the U.S. because of a violent ex-partner,  but they forced her to return to Mexico. Five days later her body was found in a burning vehicle.

Now her family (three minor sons) have brought a lawsuit against the four unknown border agents who refused to listen to their mother and forced her to return to a certain death.

Dear U.S. District Court,

In June, 2009, Laura S., an undocumented omestic abuse survivor and mother of three, was stopped for a driving infraction in Texas; she pleaded with immigration officials to let her stay in the U.S. because of a violent ex-partner,  but they forced her to return to Mexico. Five days later her body was found in a burning vehicle.

In June, 2013, Laura's family (her three minor sons) filed a lawsuit against the four unknown border agents who allegedly "violated her procedural due process rights and failed and refused to consider her clear eligibility for relief from removal."

We urge you to see that justice is done is this case, so that such a horrible tragedy is never repeated.

Thank you for your time and attention to this important matter.
