Change NICE guidelines

Due to the current NICE guidelines, my initial primary breast cancer became stage 4 cancer. At the moment, if you are diagnosed with breast cancer and it has spread to your lymphnodes, you will be offered a full body scan to check if it has to other areas of your body. However, if it has not spread to your lymphnodes, you will only be given an ultra sound. Breast cancer can actually spread in two ways, through your lymphnodes or a blood vessel. My tumour had created it's own blood vessel so had the potential to have spread but because it had not gone to my lymphnodes, I was not offered a full body scan. 6 months later it was discovered in my liver. The guidelines were different, I would be in a very different situation. I do not want this to happen to anyone else and believe NICE Guidelines need updating to save lives.
