End Facebook's Dangerous and Insulting Real-Name Policy

The Furry Fandom is a subculture where individuals LIVE through a chosen persona, or Fursona. The Real-Name policy makes Facebook a place where we can't be ourselves. There are people with unbelievable names, but they are their 100% legal identities. The Real-Name policy doesn't verify before forcing them to change their name. There are people who are victims of abuse, and come to Facebook and Facebook Groups to be able to find support in safety. Forcing them to abandon their pseudonym puts them at risk, which takes away that support. There are Performers whom you may not know the real names of, yet Facebook is insisting they use their legal names. That is insulting to the artist, and their friends and followers. Stop the madness. Google+ tried this and learned quick. Facebook is telling the GOVERNMENT to follow the Policy, which hampers it's ability to protect us. Obama, in light of Facebook's demand of the DEA, you can stop this. Create a protective Act for the safety and cultures of users of the Online Public Forums.
