Tell Prime Minister Gillard to put more effort into prevention of animal extinction!

So many of Australia's beautiful, native, unique animals are threatened, critically endangered, and have become extinct. In the past 100 years, the cause of most animal extinction has been human ignorance and inability to conserve the environment. People don't care about the consequences of their actions unless they will directly impact on them. Think about it-- how many of us turn off lights to reduce our carbon footprint? No, the main reason we do it is to reduce our power bill, to save our money. As we enter the sixth age of extinction, our money won't do much for us if there are no animals left for humanity to exploit any longer.
The governments are partly to blame-- more effort, more funding, and more thought should be going into Australia's quest to stop animal extinction. Sign this petition and leave a comment to tell Prime Minister Gillard how you feel, and let her know she needs to take action on the part of her country!
