Make fireworks illegal and impose fines for offenders

Fireworks should be illegal because of danger to the environment, animals and the health of sick and elderly people. In my neighborhood most every night between 9:30 pm and 1: 00 am, I am awaken by fireworks. My little dog becomes terrified and my sleep is disturbed. This happens through the year, not just the 4th of July or new year. Many times they continue for 5 minutes or more. They give me a headache and my whole body just shivers. No one has the right to disturb me or terrorize my dog. The sale of fireworks should be banned in the US. A fine of $100 should be imposed for anyone setting off fireworks.
