Sign the Pledge: Demand World Leaders Protect Aid Workers

Aid workers work on the front lines of the world’s worst emergencies, providing vulnerable populations with lifesaving assistance. They risk their lives for humanity, working in difficult and dangerous circumstances to help those in need.

But aid workers are increasingly becoming targets of violence.

In 2016 alone, 288 aid workers were the victims of major attacks, and 101 aid workers were killed. This is a violation of international humanitarian law, which states that civilians, as well as medical workers, and aid workers, must be protected by all parties to conflict.

We urge world leaders to uphold their commitments to international humanitarian law and do more to protect aid workers and civilians.

SIGN THE PLEDGE to stand with us.

Aid workers save lives. They should never be targets.
