I am trying to get the stature of linitations for of which an domestically abused person can press charges on the abuser for more years following the last episode of abuse. right now in the state of Michigan that lomitation is only 3 years.I was never informed of this law. as it was 7 years after the last episode of abuse that I suffered an terroble flashback of my ex husband coming towards me resulting in an very physcal attack on an innocent by stander..in my mind i was fighting in defence of my ex..after this episode I was dignised with post dramtic stress disorder. on top of my already very emotional and permant physcal damage left from the abuse. please help me
