Pet shops and snake owners: Stop selling and feeding live domesticated mice as food for pet snakes.

I believe taking a pet mouse and then putting the poor trusting harmless creature in a cage with a snake as food is extremely cruel. In the wild it is natural for snakes to eat live mice but this is not natural when it is in a cage. I spoke to the SPCA and they told me that pet shops aren't allowed to sell live mice as snake food, they are only allowed to sell frozen mice. I would like to appeal to all snake owners to feed their snakes frozen mice, to people who buy their pets from pet shops to check if the pet shop is selling live mice from a back room as snake food also some pet shop owners seem to think that it is fine to do this, so ask them and if so please report them to the SPCA.

Please stop selling live mice as snake food, I have spoken to the SPCA and they say that this practice is illegal. I will continue to petition and contact animal welfare organisations until I know you have stopped.
