Take a Stand for College Safety

Currently the secretary of education Betsy Devos wants to change the Clary act which covers sexual assault and domestic violence on college campuses. What Devos proposes to do is to give more rights to the accused student while forcing students who were victims to speak out against the accused openly which directly puts the victim in danger as well as violates NASW code of ethics 1.07 Privacy and confidentiality because it is forcing the victim to come out and face the perpetrator as well as forcing the details of the assault to become public. I propose we organize student protests on college campuses with permission from faculty to demonstrate that we don't want to make our schools a place people can commit sexual assault and domestic violence without proper response.
