Demand Action Against Severe Medical Neglect of Prisoners

Yesterday our baby brother Edgar Martinez #T5846, died after asking for continued medical care since back in 2004 from Mule Valley State Prison in Ione, Ca. 2004 the prisons Doctor found a black mass in his chest. When my brother expressed concerns about this to the Doctor, he was told not to worry about it, that it was normal? My brothers health continued to deteriorate, and no follow ups were conducted by the Doctor, nor the prisons staff in charge, or the Warden! The same Warden was recently escorted by the FBI off the prisons premises, and his duties there, while under investigation? It was only just a few months ago when my brother fainted on the prisons grounds that they were forced to take him to the hospital! The Doctor in Salinas said it was jjust a bladder infection? They sent him back to prison with a catheter? By then his cancer had spread so much through out the years, that it was too late for him. He was moved to the States health care facilities about five months ago, and told he would be there permanately. Which meant it was fatal! Had the prisons medical staff, Doctors, and the Warden gave my brother the medical attention, and care, back in 2004 when he had asked for it, he could've survived his cancer/illness. Instead they told him "It was normal, and to not WORRY ABOUT IT? It's time to change this prisons follow up and care of its prisoners before its too late for others, like it was for our beloved brother¡ The CDCR leadership team is in charge now while their warden is on suspended leave. Please sign our petition and demand a complete investigation by the CDCR over the medical neglect, and care, at Mule Creek State Prison's inmates that are there now, and prior inmates, such as my brother! I pray and hope that with enough signatures, we can make a difference!
