Clarence Thomas must be held accountable for ethics violations

There's a new addition to the long list of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas' ethics violations: The Senate Finance Committee has discovered that Clarence Thomas had some or all of a $267,000 loan forgiven to purchase a luxury RV.

A wealthy friend loaned Thomas the $267,000, which he did not include on his ethics disclosure forms, and "it is not known whether he disclosed the loan forgiveness to the IRS, as required by law because loan forgiveness is taxable income."

The question is, what did the friend get in return?

Clarence Thomas has been living a lavish lifestyle, bankrolled by billionaires and Republican megadonors for long enough. It's time he's finally held accountable for his actions, which raise profound ethical questions that make it clear he should no longer serve on the Supreme Court.
