Alibaba.com's Takeover of November 11th, Let Us Not Forget

Do you want to remember our fallen heroes who sacrificed their lives for our freedom? Or do you want Veteran's Day, Remembrance Day or Armistice Day to be forgotten in place of the BIGGEST global shopping day?

Alibaba, China's largest online sales company has turned November 11th into the most lucrative single day global shopping event, even bigger than Black Friday (2). Marketwatch.com has predicted that Single's Day will become a holiday recognized worldwide within the next few years (1).

But when is Single's Day?

November 11th

…The same day, that in 1918, marked the end of World War I. November 11th goes by different names: Remembrance Day, Veteran's Day, Armistice Day, but is recognized by countries across continents as a day to commemorate the sacrifices made by soldiers in the wars waged over the last century. It is a day of remembrance, of reflection, of prayers for peace.

Join with us in protest against Alibaba.com's takeover of November 11th. Insist that the company change their day of global consumerism out of respect for all cultural observances and the sacrifices made for global freedom and peace. Speak up to protect the solemnity of November 11th; let us not forget why we mark that day.
