Warren Buffet came up with this idea back in 2012 (PLEASE google it and read it in its entirety.) . I don't know about you, but I'm fed up with Congress. They vote themselves raises, they put themselves above everyone else by not participating in Social Security and Medicare; WE fund their retirement plan (while we have to fund ours as well) and they received full pay after only one term. And, to top it all off, they're doing a lousy job.
Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution: "Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators and/or Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and/or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States." At present there is no Prop 28 but, and I may be naive, perhaps we can come up with such an overwhelming force, they can't ignore us? (I was truly hoping someone else would do this as I am ill-equipped for something like this but I truly believe the welfare of our children/grandchildren is at stake.)
