USPS CCA Pregnant Women Should Have Light Duty Rights & Paid Leave

I Eveleena Pritchett, have been a Mail Carrier for over two years with the Post Office. I've lost two babies working here & would've lost the one I'm pregnant with now due to a threatened miscarriage but someway somehow this little Angel is a fighter!

I'm working in an environment where its extremely stressful working as a CCA. We do a lot & I honestly can say we work just as hard if not harder than the regulars (including 10 to 14 hours, 6 to 7 days a week, in 100 degree weather, rainy weather, a bunch of heavy lifting, bending, climbing, etc) & should be granted the same benefits as them. This job isn't easy at all.

I'm pregnant & was labeled HIGH RISK & requested light duty & was denied. I'm not understanding. Why? How? I was told ONLY regulars are entitled to light duty.

This isn't fair. On top of this I'm being forced to stay home for a few months with NO PAY! I have no more Annual Leave Pay & we don't get sick leave only regulars.

Where are pregnant women rights? This is a government job! Are my children or unborn NOT as important as getting the mail delivered? I have a life inside of me that deserves a chance of experiencing life.

I want this to end now! Pregnant women such as myself should have some type of paid leave & should be offered light duty.
