2014 Agriculture Appropriations Bill-Stop Slaughterhouses from having access to any inspections.

Currently horse slaughterhouses can pay a fee for inspections, allowing slaughter of horses to continue. Although they are not government funded, the current laws allow Slaughterhouses to have voluntary USDA inspections.

Request that the 2014 Agriculture Appropriations Bill include an end to these privately funded slaughterhouse operations.

The Honorable U.S. Senate:

Please eliminate any consideration of funding for U.S.D.A. inspections of Horse Slaughterhouses in the U.S.  If possible, block voluntary inspections, to end the slaughter of any horses, for consumption or otherwise.  If Slaughterhouses are allowed to pay a user fee for the U.S.D.A. inspection of their meat, the slaughter of horses will continue.

If the 2014 Agriculture Appropriations Bill is a means for this to become into law, please assist in this matter.

Thank you
