Petition for 100% Per Capita of Ramah Settlement

The Ramah Class Action Lawsuit began in 1990, when Indian Tribes throughout the United States sought recovery for payment of contract support costs (CSC) for Tribal 638 contracts with the Bureau of Indian Affairs and the Indian Health Service.Contract support costs are human resources, etc. During the years 1990 to 2013 the BIA did not fully fund the Tribes' administration costs, Walker River Paiute Tribe like other Tribe's, either had to supplement program budgets with tribal dollars or cut back on essential services. The Walker River Paiute Tribe has received $834,474.87 for payment of our share.

We, the undersigned, are concerned enrolled members of the Walker River Paiute Tribe, who urge our Tribal Council Leaders to act now to serve the ENTIRE Walker River Paiute Tribe equally by a 100% Per Capita of the Ramah Settlement dollars in the amount of $834,474.87. Tribal members who are 17 years and younger shall have their funds set into accounts until they reach the age of 18, where at that time they can decide what they would like to do with their money.

We, the undersigned concerned enrolled members of the Walker River Paiute Tribe would like to remind the Walker River Paiute Tribal Council, that the money does not belong to you, it belongs to the People. Each enrolled member of the Walker River Paiute Tribe should decide what they would like to do with their funds.

Please sign and include your Tribal Enrollment number.
