Stop the killing of whales even if it is in the name of science

Japan, has always conducted so-called scientific experiments on whales in the Southern Seas during the warmer months. How many whales have to be slaughtered to get an insight on their lives? Is this really for scientific purpose or just another way of slaughtering innocent creatures to satisfy the hunger of humans based on tradition?
Let us tell Japan and others who chose to follow in the same foot steps that this cannot go on forever. Also that we are watching them and will no longer sit still.
We should boycott their products till they stop this innocent killing.
