DELAY HYBRID IN-PERSON LEARNING. ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY'S COVID-19 CASE RATE HAS EXCEEDED HEALTH DEPARTMENT GUIDELINES FOR 25+ STRAIGHT DAYS. PUT SCIENCE OVER POLITICS. TELL THE AACPS BOARD OF EDUCATION TO DELAY HYBRID IN-PERSON LEARNING!

  • Anne Arundel County's COVID-19 Case Rate has exceeded the Health Department's Guidelines of 10 cases per day for safely opening schools for 21+ straight days
  • Anne Arundel County has had the highest two-week COVID-19 death rate in the county since June of this year.
  • Case Rates have been trending UP since June.
  • According to the CDC we are heading into the "darkest winter" in modern times.

In spite of this data, the majority of Board members for AACPS have continued to plow forward with the start of hybrid in-person learning. In short, the majority of the AACPS Board members are choosing to ignore science over the deteriorating COVID-19 case rate data. We all want normalcy. We all want our schools to open for in-person learning, but only when we can keep our families, students, staff, volunteers and administrators safe. Insist that the Board of Education for AACPS follow the SCIENCE and to follow our own Anne Arundel County's Department of Health's recommendation: "conditions do not support starting in-person learning".

Sign the petition (and share!) to tell the AACPS - Board of Education - to DELAY HYBRID IN-PERSON LEARNING until the COVID-19 Case Rate is 10 cases per day or less for at least 21 days.

Petition closes and will be delivered to the AACPS Board of Education on November 4th; the last chance for the AACPS Board to reverse their decision.
