Tell Illinois: Don't Punish Whistleblowers

Reporting suspected animal abuse is the responsibility of all citizens.

Criminally charging whistleblowers of animal abuse only discourages the abuse to go unreported.

Any abused animal needs people to report it and have it investigated.

This makes no sense.  It is a scare tactic to prevent suspected abuse from being reported.

Dear Illinois State Senator:

SB1532 aims to amend the Illinois Humane Care for Animals Act by referring any complaint which the State Depart of Agriculture finds to be not valid to the State's Attorney for criminal charges.

This is completely illogical and it is un-American.  To punish whistleblowers goes against the fundamental values our country was founded upon.

Please do not vote for SB1532.
