Mister President, We DEMAND That You Retract Your DEMAND

Mister President, you recently demanded an investigation into the investigation into your campaign for possible wrongdoing. Apart from the inherent ridiculousness of (and obvious political motivation behind) that concept, the very idea of DEMANDING ANYTHING is against the very governmental system our founders conceived, and is in and of itself horrible. You are not a king. You are not an emperor. You do not DEMAND. You suggest, you advise, your ask, you request, you even write executive orders (subject to legal review, since you do not have absolute power) but you DO NOT DEMAND. We the people may make demands. You, our employee, may not. We, your employers, DEMAND that you retract your demand. Ask nicely. Be a mensch.
