Windows Live Messenger/MSN Messenger was released in 1999. In 2009 Microsoft reported that 330 million were active users of MSN each month.
I have been a user of Windows Live Messenger/MSN for years, I've never had any major issues it ran smoothly for me 99% of the time. Well now it has been "merged" with Skype and I am now unable to sign in, I’m sure many of you are experiencing the same problem.
"If it's not broken don't fix it" Microsoft have obviously not heard this idiom before because MSN was not broken but hey look, they've attempted to "fix" it, I have been using Skype for the past 12hours and I have experienced major problems such as having to sign in and out just to get my webcam to work, as I'm in a long distance relationship this is frustrating for both people. I'm sure many of you are experiencing the same problems with video calls or just problems with Skype as a whole. Microsoft has been forcing updates on users constantly with no option and now it's come to this.
This is why I have decided to make a petition in an attempt to get Microsoft's attention and make them realise they have made a massive mistake. Maybe if they had discontinued Skype and bought it over to Windows Live Messenger it would have been better but I for one am disgusted with the poor quality I've received from Skype.
