In China, you could be legally fired just because you are LGBT, not because of  your work performance. People live in fear of being fired or kicked out of their apartments, so they do not show anyone who they really are. Why is there so much emphasis placed on 'what' they are versus 'who' they are?

I am here to urge the Chinese government to protect LGBT people in China by passing a law to prevent them from being fired or kicked out from their apartments based on their sexual orientation. Equality is something that everyone deserves, and is not a special right.
