Keep Commercial Traffic Off Residential Streets in Sayreville

Sayreville Borough is allowing commercial traffic unfettered access to our residential streets. This practice robs homeowners of their right to the quiet enjoyment of their homes, compromises the safety of children and pets, and makes residents susceptible to higher rates of crime. Burlew Place, once a quiet, safe dead-end residential street in Sayreville, is now a busy commercial thoroughfare that sees over 3000 vehicles per day. The borough sees nothing wrong in allowing vehicles to use Burlew Place to access 16 stores and restaurants and access the highway. This sets a dangerous precedent, and if it's not stopped, your street could be next. Close Burlew Place to commercial traffic now to protect our residential neighborhoods from being taken over by highway traffic.
