Demand Priceline Pharmacy stop selling products with harmful Microbeads

The plastic microbeads found in exfoliating and cleansing products have become a threat to our marine environments. Most wastewater treatments cannot filter these tiny particles, so they end up in our waterways and oceans.
Fish can eat these harmful particles and be subject to toxins such as polyethylene, polypropylene, polyethylene terephthalate or polymethyl methacrylate. Even if the plastic is biodegradable, the plastic needs to be sent to a plant for heating and recycling, but there is no chance of these microbeads being collected from river beds and ocean floors.
Coles and Wooworths have agreed to stop stocking these products. As one of the biggest beauty stockists of facial cleansing products in Australia, we need to demand that Priceline Pharmacy ban these products from their shelves.
