Don't Mess With the WRS (Wisconsin Retirement System)

  • af: Alli Pratt
  • mottagare: Senator Duey Stroebel and all Wisconsin Legislators

Wisconsin has a fully-funded Wisconsin Retirement System and is not broken. Other States only dream of tis type of Retirement System. The Wisconsin Retirement System is recognized as one of the best in the nation, providing security to taxpayers and dedicated public employees, such as police officers, firefighters and teachers.
Some legislators are still working to rip apart public employees. Senator Duey Stroebel (R-Saukville) is reviving two bills from last session that made little traction at the time. These ideas were also inserted into the Wisconsin Budget without discussion or notice, but were later removed.  The first bill raises the minimum retirement age by two years. The second bill changes from three to five years of highest earnings for retirement calculations.
Let your voice be heard! Tell Wisconsin Legislators to stop the attempts to change a system that is working!
