FURRY FAMILY IN HOTELS

Hi,

I'm a seasoned ER/trauma nurse who has an issue with the major hotels.  I've just started to travel by land.  I want to take 3 of my furry children with me.  Since I'm an 'elderly' and disabled female I take my lab with me, she's my guard dog.  I also have two dogs, < 10 pounds total, who come with me due to their medical conditions so I can take care of them, give them their meds, etc.

I've found that most of the major hotels either won't allow them or want to charge me $75.00 or more (NON REFUNDABLE!!!!), either per 'animal' or total.

I'm sorry but I keep my babies in their kennels, which they are trained to go into.  They do not roam free in the room to do their business or to destroy things.

I know first hand that two legged 'children' can cause far more damage than kenneled 'children'.  In addition many adult humans can cause great damage.  Humans are the worse 'animals' around.

I'm willing to pay a 'childrens' fee, but not this much for kennled 'children'.  This is simply wrong.  Why should we be punished for having furry 'children' which we love just as much as non-furry children.
