This Racist, Homophobic and Misogynistic Actor Will Be Honored at Cannes

Alain Delon is a world-famous french actor who has, in his later years, deteriorated somewhat in his social perception of the world and the human beings that inhabit it with him.

Known for often speaking publicly, he has claimed that gay couples shouldn't have the right to have or adopt children and that women should be dealt with in a "macho" attitude that includes "slapping them around". His son even accused him of domestic violence. Furthermore, he declared his sympathies towards the far-right movements in France and his interest in stopping immigration into his country.

It's no surprise that he is in the top ten most hated celebrities in France.

And now, most surprisingly, the famous Festival of Cannes wants to award him, giving him the much coveted Palme d'Or for his career.

It is not too late to express our disapproval towards the organisation, telling them that no amount of good acting can neutralise such a close-minded vision of the world. There is no place in such an important event for racists, sexists and homophobes - sign on to ask Cannes not to honor him!
