Don't Use Taxpayer Money to Fund "Hunting Arts" Exhibit!
Emma Thomson is taking photographs of women like Katrina Byrnes, who in her picture is standing next to a dead kangaroo she just killed.
This is a part of a series of photographs Thomson plans on incorporating into a project about the role of women in hunting, picturing them with dead deer, wild boars, foxes, and rabbits as well as kangaroo. She is staying in Dubbo for two months for the project in association with the Dubbo Regional Gallery.
Taxpayer money is funding the project through Museums and Galleries NSW, a state agency. Citizens and animal rights activists are obviously very angry, and the head of Animal Liberation (Lynda Stoner) said that these photographs "glorify" the killing of animals for fun.
Please tell the Museums and Galleries NSW not to use taxpayer money for this "Hunting Arts" exhibit!

Emma Thomson is using taxpayer money, through this state agency, to fund her "Hunting Arts" exhibit, which includes photographs of women with kangaroos, deer, wild boars, foxes, and rabbits they have killed. Thomson is staying in Dubbo in association with the Dubbo Regional Gallery for this project.
Citizens and animal rights activists are outraged not only at the project, but also that taxpayer money is being used to put it together. The executive of Animal Liberation, Lynda Stoner, said that it's "glorifying" the slaughtering of animals for amusement.
Please don't use taxpayer money for this project. Thank you for your time.
