STOP THE SALE OF LIVE ANIMALS IN PET SHOPS

I go to a pet shop at least once a month to buy my cat treats, grooming essentials and the occasional toy he probaly won't even bother with.. but in the same location I could often buy a mouse, kitten, puppy, fish, or wilder stuff like chinchillas and tarantulas!

Why is this inappropriate?

1) There are a number of pet stores which are not regulated as they should be, and so incidents of animal cruelty are often rife.

2) What cat/dog wants to be locked in a square foot cage 24/7 with people staring and bothering you all day?

3) People that go to these pet stores are often people who are silly and careless. The animals are not properly vet checked and so could leave without being neutered and then the unwanted pet cycle continues...

4) WE SHOULDN'T NEED TO BUY ANIMALS ANYMORE. There are thousands of pets in shelters looking for homes.. let's boycott the whole breeding system!!!
