Cry out against CenturyLink's ridiculous $3.50 convenience fee to pay online with debit/credit card!

Aren't you tired of these companies -- usually enjoying monopoly-like status in areas where no viable competitors exist -- when they keep juggling things around, pretending to give you a good deal, but hitting you up for fees elsewhere?

They have long been charging this "convenience fee" for phoned in payments, which is at least halfway believable (if you're gullible), because someone may have to actually talk to you (though, usually you're still just using the automated system). But now they want to charge you to pay online, with a credit or debit card, the same way you've been doing for years and years! $3.50. Really? And then they have the nerve to point out that you can avoid that "convenience fee" by signing up for Autopay. Why doesn't that need a fee?

Anyway, ridiculous.

Something needs to be done. Better regulation, perhaps? Allowing or promoting competition? Enabling the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to take complaints and quickly rule on unfair policies? I don't know.

But voice your complaint here! Your vote means you would GLADLY leave CenturyLink in the dust, switching to a hungry new competitor IF ONLY there were one.

VOTE HERE to tell CenturyLink "You're Stupid and we Hate You!" and "That $3.50 Charge Better Go Away or I Will!"
