Put an end to Millennial Poverty; remove age limit on H.R. 2408

The intent of the "Child Poverty Reduction Act of 2015" is to reduce childhood poverty to zero within 20 years. This bill provides the necessary support to individuals and families between the ages of 1-24.
According to the latest Census Bureau report households headed by Millennials (18-35 years old) represent the largest group living in poverty (Pew Research) H.R. 2408 limits assistance to the very population which has experienced the detrimental effect of poverty.

Remove the age limit, and give everyone the support necessary for a healthy and safe future! To have a just society, it is imperative that social workers are vigilant in the pursuit of social justice. Social change happens when issues of poverty, unemployment, discrimination and other forms of social injustice are resolved in an equitable and culturally sensitive manor.
