Congressman Walden: Stand Up for Children, Renew Children's Healthcare Funding

The Children’s Health Insurance Program provides funding for low cost health coverage for low-income children. Since 1997 CHIP has cut the rate of uninsured kids in America by half. By providing access to the basic healthcare all children need, CHIP has improved the health and futures of millions of American kids. With CHIP, working parents know that a job loss won’t mean losing their children’s health insurance and a sick kid won’t mean bankruptcy. CHIP funding is set to expire this year unless congress votes to renew it. Congressman Walden, stand up for children’s health and ensure renewed funding for the Children’s Health Insurance Program Oregon children depend on for basic healthcare services.
