death for a dollar

A betta fish, also known as Siamese or Japanese fighting fish, is a beautiful, exotic fish with long feathery fins.  They live in warmer climates and are usually found in rice paddies, ponds, and slow moving streams, native to Asia. However, in some stores in the United States, these fish are put in solitary confinement comparatively tiny 3" jail cells under extreme cruel conditions, such as, no air, swimming in their own fecies, and too cool of temperatures. It is said that 2/3 of these beautiful fish die from this kind of environment. Also they are condemned to a life alone when they can live peacefully among many other species of fish. In captivity, they require a minimum of a 10 gallon aquarium to live. So please open your heart and imagine what kind of horrible life and death that would be and if you feel any compassion please help us save these little innocent lives. They don't deserve this torture and death just so these stores can make a few dollars.
