An Oregon man has been charged with animal abuse in an especially disturbing case: he murdered his dog and FaceTimed a friend immediately after…with blood all over his face.

But if he can own animals again in the future, will these charges actually do anything to prevent him from killing more dogs?

Sign now to tell Douglas County authorities: give this man mental health counseling and a lifetime ban on animal ownership NOW!

The more that you read into this case, the more horrifying it all gets.

When the man charged with this abuse FaceTimed a friend, he initially claimed that he had been shot. He later admitted that he had blood all over his face because he had actually killed his own dog. Apparently, the dog's snoring was "pissing him off."

Later, when authorities came to check on the poor animal, the man claimed the dog had tumors and had passed away. But neighbors and friends attested to the man's violence towards this sweet animal, mentioning that they could even hear the dog being slammed against its kennel from downstairs.

The man changed his story yet again during interviews with police, claiming the dog had attacked him and he was defending himself…even though the pup was just 4 months old, and his girlfriend said the dog had never shown any signs of aggression.

This degree of violence -- and lying -- is dangerous. A dog is dead, and we must do everything in our power to ensure that no other animals suffer the same tragic fate in the future.

Regardless of any other charges or penalties levied against this man, it is essential that he receive mandatory counseling and is not allowed to own any animals again in the future. This MUST be a part of his sentencing from local authorities. Sign the petition if you agree!
