Due to an overwhelming outrage of the termination of Kevin, our bartender, we are creating this petition to request signatures to hire Kevin back at our community. Kevin was our beloved bartender in our community and was unjustly terminated.
The incident occurred when there was a hole in one and normally everyone at the club gets free drinks to celebrate. Kevin was ordered by the GM to not serve anyone their free drink and that drinks would be free the next day. Kevin did as he was ordered and turned down any free drinks to approximately 20 members.
After refusing drinks to approximately 20 members, two members (Vendig and Venucci) walked in and demanded their drinks, after all others were refused. The GM insulted Kevin and ordered him to serve the Vendig and Vanucci drinks, even though he refused approximately 20 others.
As a result of Kevin not wanting to show favoritism and break Florida law by discriminating against the other members, management put Kevin in an untenable situation.
Kevin was wrongfully terminated for refusing to follow an unlawful and discriminating order.
