Tell the National Chicken Council to Put Welfare First!

"Thanks to years of putting profits ahead of welfare, most modern-day chickens are barely recognizable. These birds are bred to grow so fat, so fast, many can barely stand or walk. Instead, they spend most of their lives sick and suffering, lying in piles of their own waste. It’s horrifying and unhealthy, but with your help, we can change things for chickens. 
The National Chicken Council (NCC) will soon release new standards for chicken welfare. By recommending slower-growing birds and healthier, more humane conditions, the Council could push the entire industry in the right direction—but they won’t do it unless the public demands it. The NCC sets the industry standard, determining how billions of birds live and die. 

Tell the NCC to recommend slower-growing chickens raised in more humane conditions."
