Demand recall of Alger County Animal Shelter Board Members

On July 27, 2015 2 members of the Alger County Animal Shelter board of directors entered the facility unannounced and fired Director Kathy Glish with no explanation. These 2 bullies have since resigned leaving 2 members on the 4 person board. Residents, donors and volunteers and most importantly, the dogs and cats seeking their forever home, deserve better than this. The board's closed meetings and closed minds have created a "perfect storm" for failure and this needs to be rectified by replacing these remaining 2 board members. Kathy Glish should be reinstated as she is the perfect advocate for our displaced furry friends. Kathy has placed hundreds of dogs and cats in caring homes and has been instrumental in educating the public on proper treatment of these animals.
