Demand The End Of The Seal Hunt In Canada Now!

Harp seal pups are famous for their big black eyes and fluffy white fur. These are their trademarks in their first two weeks of life. But these cute creatures have the unfortunate status of annually suffering the largest slaughter of any marine mammal species on the planet. Sealers bludgeon the animals with clubs and "hakapiks" (metal-hook–tipped clubs) and drag the seals—who are often still conscious—across the ice floes with boat hooks. Hunters toss dead and dying seals into heaps and leave their carcasses to rot on the ice floes because there is no market for seal meat. Many seals that are killed are 3 months old or younger. Many have not yet learned how to swim or eaten their first solid meals. This must stop.
