Free speech Law (all speech except for violence)

Over the recent years I have seen people within the UK become afraid to speak their minds and are being silenced/shut out.
Individuals have been arrested for speaking within the UK, for what speaking their minds, a key fundamental human right!
Everyone no matter their race/gender/religion/sexual orientation should be allowed to express themselves however they want through expression surely?
