Stop Horse! Stop “soring” the legs of Tennessee Walkers to make them win in the shoe ring.

Caustic chemicals are put on the front legs, which are then wrapped so the horses’ legs are burned. The horses are in so much pain, they can’t stand up. When the horses go in the show ring, they pick up those legs extremely high because of that pain. The exaggerated gait leads to blue ribbons for the owners, who seem to only care about the prestige of winning, not about the well-being of the horse. I’ve seen this. It’s severe animal cruelty. That’s why I quit showing horses.
