Divide the Electoral Vote in NY State

The people of NY State aren't just the people of NY City. Due to the population in NY City, the rest of the state never has a say in Politics. The State of NY claims to be a Democrat state, yet this only represents the NY City area. How could we fix this? If we divide the Electoral Vote so that each district votes to where its electoral vote goes, this issue would be solved. While many large cities in the state of NY do vote Democrat for politics, there is a large population of Republican within NY State outside of these cities. If the system were broken up, then these Republicans would have a chance while casting their vote.

Dear Governor Cuomo,

It has come to my attention that many of the large cities (such as NY City) often have the majority say in who the State of NY will cast their electoral votes to. As an Independant, I have seen that many people who don't live in larger cities vote against them. The Electoral System in NY State currently has a "winner takes  all" position. As a citizen of NY, I prompt you to change this so that our electoral votes are based on a district level. This would mean that smaller towns would have more of a say in our national politics. Too many elections have gone by with our major cities being the only voice heard. I can only imagine how tough Republicans in NY State have it, therefore I strongly urge you to divide the Electoral Votes in NY
