Raise your voice to end sexual violence at universities

Domestic violence has existed in children, women, and the elderly since the time humans began to live on this planet, but its severity and weakness have varied across communities and across different classes of society.

Violence against women has been one of the most common.

Sexual Assault Awareness kicks off today! We are standing up against sexual assault. Kicking this week off with #itsrevolting and revolting against sexual assault.

33% of students have no knowledge about where to seek support if they experience sexual violence.

Experiencing sexual violence as a student has a long and lasting impact on the survivor, an impact that is only exacerbated by sexual assault and harassment being a 'normal' part of university culture, and not knowing anything about how or where to seek support

Please raise your voice with your support in this project.

If you have been sexually harassed or assaulted it is important to remember that it is not your fault. Sexual violence is a crime, no matter who commits it or where it happens. Don't be afraid to get help.

Remember that if you are in need of urgent medical care or attention, call 999 (or 112 from a mobile) and ask for an ambulance, or go straight to your nearest Accident & Emergency department.
