Rename a San Francisco Street After Bubbles, the LGBTQ Activist, DJ and Personality Who Was Killed

Anthony Torres, a DJ and nightlife personality known in San Francisco as Bubbles, could often be seen wearing bright outfits, large wigs and pink lipstick. He had a big personality and was a bright light. Tragically, he was shot and killed on Sept. 9 while performing on the street.

I have talked to San Franciscans who say Bubbles was a welcoming, loving, and beautiful person. They say he embodied San Francisco's ethos: be whoever you want to be.

Many have said they would love to see Bubbles memorialized by the city in some way: perhaps by renaming Myrtle St. in the Tenderloin to Bubbles St.

Please sign this petition if you support San Francisco changing the name of Mrytle St to Bubbles St.
