In the aftermath of the Aurora, Colorado shootings, both candidates made moving statements that echoed the sympathy we're all feeling. But words of condolence are not enough. The time has come for meaningful action.

The recent mass shootings in Colorado and Wisconsin were terrible tragedies and painful reminders of the cost of gun violence.

More than 48,000 Americans will be murdered with guns during the next president's term. That's why I'm calling on you to step forward with a substantive plan to end gun violence.
