Romney: Cut Ties with Richard Mourdock

Governor Romney had the opportunity to stand up for women everywhere by yanking his endorsement of Richard Mourdock after he publicly stated that even when life begins with rape, it is a "gift from god." Romney refuses to pull a campaign ad he filmed for Mourdock, and stands by his endorsement of the out-of-line senatorial candidate.

Mourdock, an Indiana Republican state senator candidate, said, "Even when life begins in that horrible situation of rape, that it is something that God intended to happen." As the Republican candidate of the presidential race, Mitt Romney is facing a choice: continue endorsing a politician that disrespected women and rape victims everywhere or distance himself from the extremely offensive notion that rape is a gift.

If Romney truly stands for all Americans, including women, he will pull his endorsement from a man who so clearly has no regard for women's health and their rights.

Tell Governor Romney to stop endorsing a politician who thinks rape is a "gift from god!"
Dear Governor Romney,

Please support women's rights by pulling your endorsement of Indiana Republican state senator candidate Richard Mourdock. As the Republican presidential candidate, it is crucial for you to take a stand in support of women's rights instead of standing by a candidate that is so plainly convinced that rape is a blessing.

After Mourdock stated that rape is a "gift from god," it would've said volumes about your political integrity and stance on women's rights if you had refused to run Mourdock's campaign ads and withdrawn your support of him as a senatorial candidate.

Pull your endorsement of Richard Mourdock to show your support of women's rights!

Sincerely,
